Summary / Objective

The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for management, growth and profitability of a series of target assigned accounts. Provide proactive solutions to meet customers’ business needs and ensure customer satisfaction. The position will require the individual to work with design sites and development teams to achieve the growth objective.

Technical Sales Manager Job Duties:

  • Use technical knowledge of our engineering, design capability, manufacturing and service solutions to deliver innovative solutions to our customers
  • Facilitate programs to gather requirements and features from customers building rapport and providing technical information and explanations
  • Work with design and supply chain to review bill of materials and prepare quotations
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
  • Liaise with sales, engineering, manufacturing, procurement and product development
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new solutions or products
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts

Technical Sales Manager Requirements:

  • Technical Understanding of Electromechanical Systems
  • Knowledge of Electronic Product Design and/or Manufacturing
  • Proven work experience in technical sales or technical inside sales
  • Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Expert level with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

    • Required Education and Experience:

      • 5-10 years’ sales and technical business experience
      • BS in Engineering
