Job Description :

GES is seeking a highly innovative and talented Sr. Electrical Design Engineer with experience in Analog, Digital and Mixed-Signal Design to join our team. As a member of the Hardware Engineering Team, the Sr. Electrical Engineer will contribute directly to GES product development through the development, test and integration of complex electrical components and subsystems (including PCBs, Cables, System interconnects) while actively participating in the subsystem integration process and collaborating with the Software and Mechanical teams on a wide array of new product and advanced technology development in support of GES’s multi-year product and technology roadmaps.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years related design experience in analog, digital and mixed signal electronics design and integration of solutions into modules for High Volume Manufacturing.
  • Extensive experience with automation, control systems, motion control, tuning, motor & encoder selection, integration and operation
  • Good understanding of medium power design (< 10KW), Medium to High Voltage (1000VDC) techniques.
  • Transistor and system level simulation skills.
  • Strong lab and troubleshooting/validation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to provide clear, concise technical presentations.
  • Proven experience taking designs from concept to mass production.
  • Proficiency with the following will be a strong plus: Orcad, SolidWorks Electrical, LabVIEW, pSpice, low level programming.
  • Experience with 208/480VAC circuits and systems is a plus.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.


  • Develops analog, digital and mixed signal designs based on customer inputs and requirements.
  • Drives the development, test and integration of complex electrical components and subsystems (including PCBs, Cables, System interconnect).
  • Prepares product design verification test plans and executes tests that verify designs meet requirements.
  • Actively participates in the subsystem integration process collaborating with the SW and Mechanical teams.
  • Writes technical documentation that meets the defined quality standards for manufacturing, service as required.
  • Interacts with manufacturing, service teams to support a smooth product transition into manufacturing and the field.
  • Leads problem solving and troubleshooting for manufacturing and customer problem resolution.
  • Drives technical decisions affecting product systems or subsystems within area of expertise and understands the impact of decisions outside of area of expertise.
  • Partners with management on product innovation and systems solutions and leads innovation that results in breakthrough solutions. Serves as a primary liaison on technical capabilities.
  • Provides input to customer proposals, product/technology roadmap and R&D plans.

  • Required Education and/or Experience:

    • BSEE with 10+ years, MSEE a plus
    • Solid knowledge of electrical engineering principles, analog, digital and mixed signal electronics design both at the theoretical and implementation level.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
